Urban Evaporative Cooling Practices

I believe that doing uchimizu at home with leftover kitchen water shows a gentle awareness of both daily life and the environment. When I collected the leftover water from the kitchen in a bucket and used it for uchimizu in my garden, I felt more relaxed than I expected. As I sprinkled the water, the ground and floor became cool, and the air felt a little lighter. I could actually feel the summer heat becoming more bearable. It turns a simple routine into a moment of care, where you intentionally cool your space and calm your mind. I felt a little happy that I was able to make good use of water and bring about positive changes—both for the environment and for my own state of mind.
