Uchimizu Is Most Effective in Cooler Hours

Based on my experience, uchimizu should be done in the morning or evening, when the temperature is relatively low. This is because water evaporates quickly during the hot hours of the day, making it less effective.
Uchimizu is a traditional Japanese practice, and I came to understand more deeply that it is still a simple and practical way to deal with the heat today. Since it only involves sprinkling water, it does not require any special equipment and is easy for anyone to try. I also feel that it is an environmentally friendly method because, unlike air conditioning, it does not use electricity and cools the surroundings through the evaporation of water.
I used to have a strong image of uchimizu as an old-fashioned practice, but I now think it is also suitable for modern life because it can help reduce electricity use and lessen our impact on the environment. I find it appealing that the wisdom people developed in their daily lives in the past can still be incorporated into our lives today. When the weather becomes hot, I would like to try uchimizu in places around me.
