インターンシップ体験プログラムに参加して

①と③を視聴し、登場する外国人やゲストスピーカーが日本人に聞き取りやすいように配慮してシンプルな英語をゆっくり話してくれていることが伝わりました。これなら英語が苦手な日本人も「何が言いたいかわかる！」「自分も英語で外国人と交流できる！」と感激するのではないでしょうか。

ELCA東京のゲストスピーカーがメッセージを送ってくれました。

②では外国人の皆さんがはとバスの山梨ツアーでぶどう狩りを楽しんでいる様子が伝わってきました。ガイドさんの英語が日本人にも聞き取りやすく理解しやすかったので、外国人と一緒に楽しめそうだなと感じました。

④のFacebook発信では、外国人との文化交流について日本語英語で短くまとめられていて、英語を学習中の人でも気軽に英語に親しめそうだなと思いました。

By watching #1 and #3, I could tell that the foreigners and guest speakers were speaking slowly in simple English so that Japanese people could easily understand them. I think even Japanese people who struggle with English would be touched, thinking, “I understand what they want to say!” and “I can communicate with foreigners in English, too!”

In #2, I could see foreigners enjoying the grape picking bus tour in Yamanashi operated by the company Hato Bus. The guide’s English was clear and easy to follow, even for Japanese speakers, which made me feel that we could enjoy the tour together with foreign visitors.

In #4, the Facebook post briefly summarized cultural exchange with foreigners in both Japanese and English. I thought it would help English learners feel more at ease with the language.
