打ち水で気温が下がるのはどうして？　Why does Uchimizu lower the temperature?

打ち水で気温が下がるのには、「気化熱」が関係しています。

気化熱は、液体から気体になるときに、周囲から吸収する熱のことを言います。

例えば、風呂上がりに身体を拭かないと、水分が蒸発し、身体が冷えてしまいます。これも気化熱の一つです。

打ち水をすると、まいた水が蒸発するときに、気化熱により、熱せられた地面から熱を奪ってくれるから、気温が下がるのです。
