私たちは電気のある生活が当たりまえだと思っています。

しかし、世界では7～8人に1人は電気のない生活をおくっていると言われています。

日常生活で電気が使えない大きな理由は”貧困と戦争”です。

貧困地域では、発電所や送電線などの設備が不足しています。

また、そもそも貧しいので各家庭で電気を買う余裕がありません。

そして、戦争により停電していたり、避難生活を余儀なくされている人々もいます。

紛争地域や難民キャンプでは電気がありません。

こうした実情を知ると、電気のある生活のありがたみがわかります。大切な電気を無駄遣いせず、節約していくことを心がけていきましょう。

We think it is natural to live with electricity.

However, it is said that one out of seven to eight people in the world live withoutelectricity.

The main reason that they cannot use electricity in their daily life is because of “povertyand war”.

Within deprived areas lack facilities like power plants and transmission lines.

Since people there are poor, they can’t afford electricity at home.

And because of war,there are power outages that force peopleto live in shelters.

There is no electricity in disputed areas and refugee camps.

Knowing the reality of these places, we can be thankful to be able to live with electricity.

Let’s try to be less wasteful of precious electricity.
